Newcastle United have performed fairly well in their return to the Premier League, with ten points to their name from seven matches, but there’s always room for improvement and testing times continue to lie ahead for the Magpies.
Rafael Benitez’ side have certainly struggled for consistency this season, losing their opening two matches before embarking on a three-match winning streak that was ended by defeat to Brighton, then drawing 1-1 with Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
The Magpies will return from the international break with confidence though following just one defeat in five matches but the side needs to protect against complacency, which could be aided by Benitez providing some internal competition.
