Burnley (A)
Newcastle’s form away from home hasn’t been great and that needs to improve significantly. Their run of away games now stands at Southampton, Burnley, Manchester United, West Brom, Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham to end the year, so the match against the Clarets is a game where they need to get something from.
Burnley have impressed in the Premier League this season, beating Chelsea on the opening day and frustrating the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as beating Everton 1-0 prior to this week’s international break.
That doesn’t make things easy for Newcastle but it’s the tie that they’ll probably fancy their chances in the most.
