Newcastle United are on high alert after Chelsea youngster Charley Musonda has hit out at his current club in a cryptic post on his official Instagram.

Musonda scored his first Blues goal only weeks ago during a 5-1 demolition of Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup, however other than that, game time has been limited for the Belgian youngster under Antonio Conte.

The 20-year-old spent last season on loan with La Liga side Real Betis, where his impressive performances prompted Conte to include him in their first team squad this season.

However, after a lack of opportunities so far since his return, Musonda has struck out in astonishing fashion.

“You sacrifice, you work hard, harder, you give more than what’s expected, and often more than you can, because you love what you do and clearly more than you should.” he said on the social media site.

“And what do you get back? Literally nothing… done.

“However, with this being said I will continue with same dedication and commitment to this great game.”

Musonda was linked with a move to Newcastle during the summer, and the Magpies will be now be on high alert following his outburst, as will a number of other teams from across Europe including Serie A’s Roma who were too keen on the Belgian playmaker earlier this year.
