Newcastle United are ready to offer out of favour Liverpool striker Danny Ings are way out of Anfield by taking him on-loan this January, reports The Sun.

Ings, who has spent much of his Liverpool career since joining the club from Burnley back in 2015 out injured, now finds himself all but out of manager Jurgen Klopp’s plans after his return to fitness.

The striker has made a mere 12 appearances in all competitions during his two-and-a-bit seasons with the Merseyside club, and his only appearance in Red this season came as a cameo against Leicester in the Carabao Cup back in September.

Newcastle, who were keen on the former Burnley star during the summer, are now thought to be again interested in bringing him to St James’ Park, this time on-loan.

Ings remains keen to prove his worth at Liverpool after a tough two years, saying he ‘cannot walk away’ from Anfield, meaning a loan-move which would offer him a chance to play regular football again would be ideal for both parties.

Ings has been capped once by England,  making his international debut in a 3-0 win over Lithuania back in 2015.
