Newcastle defender DeAndre Yedlin says his club can do ‘great things’ this season after their terrific start to the new campaign.
The Magpies sit in 8th place in the Premier League table after 9 games and also have a game in hand over the teams around them. Win that, and Rafael Benitez’s side will find themselves leapfrogging Liverpool in 6th.
Following the teams solid start, Yedlin says belief in the camp is at an all time high.
“I think we can achieve great things this season,” Yedlin told NUFC TV.
“I don’t want to put a number on it or anything but when you look at how we started the season I don’t see any reason why we can’t continue to do that for the rest of the season.
“Everyone in here believes and now people on the outside are starting to believe it as well. We can’t get ahead of ourselves, we have to take it game by game and be prepared for every game and work hard for each other.”
