The 26-year-old Turkish international has been regularly linked with a move to Newcastle United over the course of the past month, though the Magpies will face competition for the forward’s signature from Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace.
Newcastle would certainly be the more appealing destination though, despite Palace’s lure of being in the capital city, and the experienced striker’s record of 35 goals in 86 league appearances for Besiktas could see the Magpies land the reliable striker they need.
