Newcastle United return to Premier League action this weekend following the most recent international break and they face a tough test away from home against Southampton, with the South Coast side looking to improve on their early season performances.
The Saints have won just once this season, beating rock-bottom Crystal Palace by a single goal, and the pressure upon boss Mauricio Pellegrino has increased significantly- and his position could become under even more threat if he fails to secure a win this weekend.
Newcastle, on the other hand, have a decent return of ten points from the opening seven matches and will have their ambitions of survival boosted significantly if they can secure a result down on the South Coast- although they’ll have to be at their best.
