AFC Bournemouth have joined the race to sign Newcastle youngster Sean Longstaff after an impressive start to his loan spell with Blackpool, reports Somerset Live.

The Englishman has scored 4 times in his first 6 appearances with the Seasiders, igniting interesting from a number of clubs from across the country.

Bolton Wanderers, Barnsley and Bristol City are all allegedly interested in Longstaff, and now Premier League side Bournemouth have joined the race for the sought after teenager, with a bidding war between the interested parties set to go on this coming January.

Longstaff’s loan deal with Blackpool runs out in the New Year, and while the Tangerines will be hoping to keep hold of the youngster who has been a vital member of their squad in the early parts of the season, they will now face huge competition for his signature.

The Magpies would be keen to loan the young midfielder out again until the end of the season rather than sell, with their wish for him to return to pre-season with the club’s first team next summer should he continue to improve.
