Newcastle United fans have been left outraged by Tomer Hemed’s challenge on DeAndre Yedlin during the weekend’s clash at the Amex Stadium.
Hemed was seen to stamp down hard on the leg of Yedlin following losing the ball in a 50/50 challenge.
The Israel international was not punished by referee Andre Marriner who seemingly missed the incident.
Hemed had fromerly scored the goal that have Brighton the lead, which they went to hang on to to secure their second win of the Premier League season and send Newcastle packing pointless.
However with the cameras prying eyes never missing a moment, the striker’s challenge of Yedlin was one of the game’s hottest talking points after the final whistle.
Brighton’s match winning hero has since publicly apologised to Yedlin for what he described as an ‘accident’, however the Toon army remain unconvinced and have been public in their both their criticism of Andre Marriner – as well as Sky Sports and Match of the Day who seemingly glazed over the incident – and their call for the FA to punish Hemed for the challenge.

Let's see if Sky, Match of the Day or the FA mention the stamp on Yedlin, somehow doubt it #nufc

@BBCMOTD not fancy showing the deliberate stamp on Yedlin from Hemed last night? You were pretty intent on getting Mitrovic a ban #NUFC
