Newcastle United have endured an indifferent start in their return to the Premier League, winning three matches but also losing three- including disappointing defeats at the hands of fellow promoted outfits Huddersfield Town and Brighton.
The Magpies currently sit with nine points, putting them on course to reach their objective of 40 points, but there’s still a lot of work to be done and the squad will be tested vastly in the coming months- especially in the busy period over Christmas and New Year.
Involvement in the FA Cup in January could also stretch Newcastle’s squad, so Rafael Benitez may well be keeping an eye on young talents that he can inject into his side to provide an impact- and there’s certainly some exciting options.
