Long after his departure from the club, Alan Pardew is still a man who tends to rile Newcastle United supporters.
Indeed, ‘Pardiola’ remains a thoroughly divisive figure on Tyneside following his turbulent spell in charge of the Toon Army between 2010 and 2015, so the recent news he’d joined Sky Sports as a pundit was always likely to spark reaction online.
Having been sacked by Crystal Palace back in December, he’s been out of work since leaving south London.
The 54-year-old has quite the history in punditry, infamously making a really rather inappropriate comment on Match of the Day a number of years ago, so Sky will undoubtedly be hoping any such controversy is avoided during his stint there.
