Newcastle United outcast Achraf Lazaar has revealed on Instagram that he and his agents are working on a move away from the club.
Indeed, the Moroccan has been linked with a move away from St. James’ Park this summer and was recently spotted leaving Newcastle Airport amid suggestions Genoa were keen on a move.
Now, he’s posted a photo on social media appearing to show he and his representatives out in Italy as he works towards a move away.
Not handed a squad number for life back in the Premier League, it looks like being a short stint on Tyneside for the defender, who only arrived at the Toon last summer from Palermo.
Lazaar largely operated as a back-up to Paul Dummett last term, making just four substitute appearances in the Championship and three starts in cup competitions.
With Jacob Murphy taking his No.7 shirt, it seems Lazaar’s time in black and white is up.
