Newcastle will have to fork out at least £20m to sign Andre Gray.

According to a report in the Daily Mail Burnley won’t let the striker go for less than that even though he is now in the final year of his contract.

Gray scored nine goals in 26 Premier League appearances with that sort of form attracting attention from Newcastle, West Ham, Everton and Spurs.

With the striker looking to at least double his £25,000/week salary Burnley have been unable to come up with an agreeable new contract.

Rather than let the striker move to a rival club and try to find a replacement Sean Dyche is preparing to hold on to the striker and hope that he can repeat last season’s goal return.

Newcastle are crying out to bring in a new striker but with Jacob Murphy the most expensive arrival at £12.5m they’ll need to up the stakes if they are to take Gray to St James’ Park.
