Norwich winger Jacob Murphy is believed to be keen to move to Newcastle.
According to a report in The Chronicle the player and his advisors are keen to make the switch to St James’ Park.
At the weekend Norwich rejected an £8m offer for the England u-21 internationalist but it’s believed that an offer close to £10m would draw them to the negotiating table.
Bringing in a quality winger has been a priority for Rafa Benitez since he failed to land Andros Townsend from Crystal Palace in January.
Murphy had an outstanding season for Norwich with Benitez in no doubt that he could make the step up to the Premier League.
Having rejected Newcastle’s original offer Norwich have to deal with a player knowing that he has been denied a massive wage rise and the chance to play in the top flight with all the signs pointing towards an increased offer bringing all parties into talks.
