Newcastle fans aren’t in the mood for sending Daryl Murphy on loan to Sunderland.
The Irish internationalist was signed from Ipswich Town last summer and largely played a support role as promotion was clinched.
It’s obvious that Murphy would have a very limited role for Newcastle in the Premier League but loaning him to rivals Sunderland is a no-no for Newcastle fans.
The joy of promotion was intensified as Sunderland dropped out of the top flight with no-one interested in lending a helping hand to Simon Grayson’s hopes.
When was the last time a Newcastle or Sunderland player was loaned to one another? #safc #nufc

Daryl Murphy to Sunderland on loan is the daftest transfer rumour I’ve ever heard. In what instance would #nufc ever consider that move?
