Newcastle are in a four way fight for Andre Carillo.

According to a report in The Sun the Benfica winger is also on the wanted list at Stoke, Huddersfield and Crystal Palace.

Last season Carillo was in and out of the Benfica side and has failed to establish himself after moving from Sporting Lisbon last season.

Newcastle have been strongly linked with signing Andreas Samaris from Benfica with Carillo’s name cropping up in those discussions.

Although Newcastle have brought in Jacob Murphy from Norwich in a £12.5m deal Benitez is looking to bring in another winger to cope with the demands of the Premier League.

Benfica are understood to be looking for a fee of £6m for Carillo with agreeing personal terms with the 26-year-old the biggest obstacle to securing a deal.

With four years left on his contract Benfica may be open to negotiation on the price but are unlikely to agree to a loan deal.
