Newcastle are in a battle with Hull City and Leeds United to sign Ryan Kent on loan.

According to a report in the Yorkshire Post the Liverpool winger is available to go out on loan again after impressing last season at Barnsley.

The 20 year old was virtually an ever present in the Championship with Liverpool hoping to test him at a higher level.

Newcastle could offer the prospect of Premier League football but there wouldn’t be any guarantee of first team football while Hull and Leeds are likely to be fighting for promotion from the Championship.

Kent is currently with Liverpool in Hong Kong but isn’t going to be part of Jurgen Klopp’s top team plans.

Newcastle have already made an enquiry about taking Sheyi Ojo on loan from Liverpool but Klopp has still to decide whether he should go out on loan or remain with the first team squad.
