The word on twitter is that Aymen Abdennour is heading for France rather than Newcastle.
There was little reaction on twitter to new that Newcastle and Everton are competing with two French clubs for the Valencia defender.
Rafa Benitez is keen to bring Abdennour to St James’ Park despite his difficult times in La Liga.

Valencia paid £18m for the Tunisian two years ago but are looking to cut their losses and will accept a £13m for Abdennour who was rarely involved last season after making 22 appearances in his debut season.
Fans of Olympique Lyon and Olympique Marseille seem keen to bring the former Monaco man back to Lique 1 with little in the way of interest from Everton or Newcastle supporters.
Regardless of the fan apathy Benitez is keen to push through his interest with the Newcastle boss convinced that defenders in La Liga offer better value than those already playing in England.
