Malaga manager Michel has confirmed that striker Sandro Ramirez is in demand from other clubs. The 21 year old reportedly has a £5.1million release clause which has alerted clubs like Newcastle, Everton, Southampton and Tottenham.

Talking to Diario Sur (translated by the Chronicle), Michel says he is powerless to do anything if the former Barcelona player wants to leave the La Liga side this summer:

“Sandro is in demand. We cannot keep him if he doesn’t want to continue. He is crucial, but so are others. We can’t do anything more than all the efforts we have made, and all we have to do is wait for his decision.”

Sandro only moved to Malaga at the start of the season after finding first team opportunities limited at Barca. The low release clause suggests the forward was using his switch to the Spanish side as a shop window to attract bigger clubs.

The ploy seems to have paid off with a number  ofPremier League sides interested in the forward. So far this season the Spanish Under 21 international has scored 16 goals in 29 games. Seven of those have come in Malaga’s last seven games, helping the La Liga side to six victories during that time.
