Inter Milan full back Davide Santon has once again been linked with a return to Newcastle United by Calciomercato.com.

The Nerazzurri are looking to offload a number of players in the summer as they seek to balance the books to stay within UEFA’s Financial Fairplay rules. The Serie A side are reportedly looking to sell at least €30million worth of talent by the end of June.

Calciomercato say that six Inter players have suitors in England. Along with Marcelo Brozovic, Jeison Murillo, Eder, Andrea Ranocchia and Yuto Nagatomo, Santon is also likely to be sold with the Italian website suggesting Newcastle as the front runners.

Santon played for Newcastle between 2011 and 2015 before moving to Inter but after initially starting this season as the club’s first choice left back under manager Frank De Boer, he has made just two substitute appearances under De Boer’s successor Stefano Pioli since November .

After Pioli’s sacking last week, Santon may have felt he had an opportunity to revive his career at Inter but he was once again on the bench for Inter’s 2-1 defeat to Sassuolo at the weekend.
