Newcastle have joined the list of suitors for Eupen winger Henry Onyekuru, according to L’Avenir.

The Belgian newspaper says that the Magpies and West Ham have enquired about the 19 year old, while they also cite ESPN FC‘s latest report that four other Premier League clubs are scouting the Nigerian.

Everton, Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion all had representatives in the crowd as Onyekuru scored for Eupen in the 2-0 over Mouscron on Wednesday night.

L’Avenir also say that the teenager has attracted interest from other Belgium clubs with both Anderlecht and Club Bruges said to be looking at the player.

Onyekuru generally plays on the left wing; a position Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is reportedly keen to strengthen over the summer. Derby County’s Tom Ince, another prolific winger, has also be linked with a move to St James’ Park in recent days.

So far this season, Onyekuru has played 40 times in all competitions. scoring 22 goals and providing 9 assists.
