Chelsea are prepared to loan out striker Tammy Abraham to another Premier League club next season, giving a boost to Newcastle’s chances of signing him, according to the Daily Star.

The forward has been in excellent form playing for Bristol City in the Championship this season, scoring 23 goals in 41 league games. The 19 year old is said to have impressed his parent club with his performances but it looks unlikely he will be given game time under Antonio Conte next season.

Abraham is said to be one of Magpies boss Rafa Benitez’s summer targets, but the Spaniard will have to fight off a number of other teams, including fellow promoted side Brighton, Everton and Leicester City, for his signature.

Benitez is reportedly seeking assurances from Newcastle owner Mike Ashley about the backing he will receive in the transfer market, and a meeting has been scheduled for this week for the pair to have discussions about the plans for the summer.
