Newcastle midfielder Henri Saivet has said he will decide over the summer where his future lies. The Frenchman was loaned out to Saint-Etienne at the start of the season but there was no purchase option included in the deal.

Reports from France suggest that Saint-Etienne manager Christophe Galtier has not been convinced by Saivet and will not attempt to sign the 26 year old permanently in the summer. Speaking to 10Sport (via wiwsport.com), the midfielder says he will take his time to decide on his next move and will wait until the end of the season:

“As for my future, when the season is over, it will be three months to make a choice. I have the time.”

Despite appearing to be unwanted by Saint-Etienne, he has been a regular first team player for the Ligue One side this season. He has made 29 appearances in all competitions this campaign, 26 of which have been starts.

He started the 4-0 defeat against Marseille yesterday, and it proved a major setback with Saint-Etienne slipping six points behind their rivals after the loss.
