Newcastle United will revive their move for Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Osborn in the summer, according to the Sun.

The Magpies may however have competition this time from Premier League sides Swansea City and Burnley as they seek to land the 22 year old to strengthen their midfield options.

Rafa Benitez was reportedly interested in Osborn back in January but Forest were reluctant to do a deal mid way through the season. The Newcastle boss has also been keeping an eye on Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney in recent months as the Spaniard seeks more creativity in the middle of the park for next season.

Osborn has been at Forest since he was a youth player but he has become an integral part of the first team, with 45 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four goals and providing six assists.

After spending a few seasons in the Championship though, he maybe tempted by the step up to the Premier League, if the Magpies do clinch promotion back to the top flight in the next couple of weeks.
