Newcastle United are continuing to track Burnley striker Andre Gray, according to the Chronicle.

The Magpies are seeking to strengthen their forward line in the summer and they are looking at potential options if they are promoted to the Premier League.

The Chronicle also report that Newcastle retain a keen interest in Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson and Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge but a lot will depend on the club’s results over the next month or so.

Gray has scored nine goals in 27 matches in all competitions this season, and has also been interesting a number of Premier League clubs, including West Ham.

Rafa Benitez does have four strikers at his disposal in Dwight Gayle, Daryl Murphy, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Ayoze Perez. But with both Gayle and Murphy having struggled with fitness issues this season, and Mitrovic not getting regular game time, the Magpies boss seems keen to strengthen his attacking options further.
