Interestingly enough, one of few of Ayoze Perez’s truly convincing performances this season came against the Seagulls, a game in which the Spaniard had to lead the line. With both Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dwight Gayle out injured back then, the 23-year-old proved impressive at St. James’ Park, operating as the main point of attack.
Though he’s likely to battle Mitro and Daryl Murphy, more of that is needed from him indeed.
