Newcastle United have confirmed that young trio Sean Longstaff, Callum Roberts and Freddie Woodman have joined Kilmarnock on loan for the rest of the season, according to NUFC.co.uk

The Scottish side are coached by former Magpie Lee Clark these days and currently sit a lowly 10th in the SPFL table, four points clear of bottom side Inverness.

Longstaff was scoring goals for Peter Beardsley’s U23 side, notching 10 so far this term, while promising young goalkeeper Freddie Woodman has a big future in the game.

He’s previously enjoyed spells with Crawley Town and Hartlepool United and helped England win the U17 European Championships.

Roberts, meanwhile, is a goalscoring midfielder who has hit six goals in black and white this term and all make the move to Rugby Park until the end of this campaign.

They could make their debut for Killie against Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Cup fourth-round on January 21st, potentially giving them much needed first-team experience.
