Having disposed of Birmingham City in their 3rd-round replay last week, Newcastle United enter the fourth-round of the FA Cup for the first time in half a decade as they travel down to League One side Oxford United.

Available options for Rafa Benitez remain a little light on the ground right now as a result of an injury crisis, as well as the fact the January transfer market has been difficult to navigate for power brokers on Tyneside. However, the Spaniard sprung some surprises indeed in the last round and perhaps he’ll do the same again as the team travel down to the Kassam Stadium.

With the focus surely on their league campaign,  the Magpies could further bleed some developing youngsters through the ranks to take on a side who’ve adapted to life in League One rather well indeed.

Considering all of this, here’s the 4-2-3-1 XI Benitez should pick to beat Michael Appleton’s Us.
