As ever at this time of year, the proverbial transfer rumour mill keeps on churning out names from up and down the country as potential targets for Newcastle United.
The latest name to be touted for a move to Tyneside is that of Derby County winger, Tom Ince.
Under former Toon chief Steve McClaren at Pride Park these days, the 24-year-old has started to discover the sort of form that made him such a hot prospect a number of years ago now.
Son of former Middlesbrough midfielder Paul, the midfielder was signed as a youngster while Rafa Benitez was in charge of Liverpool back in 2008 and has notched a rather impressive nine goals for the Rams.
As you can imagine, the notion of paying around £8m for a Championship rivals’ key player is a controversial one on Twitter and the reaction has sparked debate on social media.
With that in mind, here are some of the best reactions to the Tom Ince rumours.
@NUFC360 Rather 12M for Will Hughes

#NUFC reportedly after Tom Ince of #DCFC for £8 million. Think they've got more chance of signing Paul Ince for that amount. Ludicrous.
