Though it barely feels as if the last transfer window, one that saw Newcastle United’s busiest summer of activity in many years has shut, the January sales are of course around the corner.

Clearly, Toon boss Rafa Benitez has a healthy squad from which to choose from at St. James’ Park, though that hasn’t stopped the proverbial transfer rumour mill from churning.

The Magpies have recently been linked with a move for Rangers midfielder Josh Windass, despite only moving to Ibrox over the course of the summer.

Son of former Hull City striker Dean, the 22-year-old would be a decent signing for the Tyneside titans and would certainly fit the mould of a talented young British player.

Unlike the summer, there’s no real area that desperately needs work, though clearly Benitez will have to look for talent more suited to the Premier League sooner rather than later.

With that in mind, here are TWO players to follow Josh Windass to Newcastle United in January.
