Newcastle United are keeping tabs on Swindon Town goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux, according to the Sun

Though the Magpies are currently well stocked between the posts, the 22-year-old’s performances for the Robins are believed to have caught keen eyes on Tyneside.

He moved to the League One outfit on a permanent deal from Liverpool over the course of the summer, after previously seeing his loan at the County Ground cut short.

When fined by the club last season, the former Spurs youngster paid a £50 fine in pennies and saw his agreement in Wiltshire end prematurely.

Still, he was reinstated by the club earlier this summer and has so far proved impressive.

Championship rivals Norwich City are also thought to be keen on the Chile U20 international, with both clubs reportedly viewing him as a long-term option between the posts should they get promoted to the Premier League.
