Top of the Championship, Newcastle United really do not look like they’ll be playing in the second tier beyond the confines of what could be a champagne campaign on Tyneside.

Little about the Toon Army looks anything other than Premier League right now, with even Leeds United star Marco Silvestri revealing he looks upon the Magpies as a top tier team.

So, the North East giants’ impact in the Championship is there for all to see and the Daily Mail confirm the club will play their part in breaking a 13-year record later this month.

November the 20th’s clash with the aforementioned Yorkshire giants at Elland Road is a sellout and only matchday hospitality remains on offer for the game.

It’s the first time the club will travel to the Whites’ famous old stadium for a league game in 13 years and it’s understood Elland Road will have it’s highest league attendance since March 2010, a game they returned to the Championship in.

Both teams are riding the crest of a wave right now and it promises to be quite a cracker as winter draws ever closer.
