Rafa Benitez looks to make it eight league wins, and nine overall, on the trot this evening as they travel to Elland Road for one of the season’s most eagerly anticipated events.

The Magpies take on fellow in-form boys Leeds United as two of the biggest clubs in the second tier clash on a bitterly cold day in Yorkshire.

Despite enduring a difficult start under Garry Monk, the Whites are looking strongly placed for a Play-Off push and recently beat Newcastle’s title rivals in Norwich City.

Other than the lengthy injury picked up by Rolando Aarons over the course of the past week, Benitez has pretty much a full squad from which to choose.

Interestingly, the in-form Aleksandar Mitrovic has been left on the bench in favour of an Ayoze Perez/Dwight Gayle partnership up front, with Vurnon Anita handed a starting berth at right-back.

Mo Diame is another to miss out, while Matt Ritchie returns following his suspension in place of Christian Atsu.
