It seems so long these days that Newcastle United once STRUGGLED to fill the left-back role at times.

Last season saw the likes of Massadio Haidara and Paul Dummett fail to wholly convince at Premier League level, while both Rolando Aarons and Kevin Mbabu endured difficult games when thrust into the role.

Even Moussa Sissoko was deployed in that position at points last term.

Now, Rafa Benitez has a wealth of options from which to choose in that berth after some signings were FINALLY made in that department.

So much so, that one summer arrival has barely had kick yet.

Granted, Achraf Lazaar has struggled with injuries since touching down on Tyneside from Palermo, though has been included in a few matchday squads.

So, it’s nice to finally see the Moroccan international emerge alive and well.

He was snapped with teammate DeAndre Yedlin making pizzas in support of the Newcastle United Foundation.

And the bromance blossoms….
