Former Newcastle defender Tamas Kadar could be set for a return to the Magpies, according to reports in Poland. The Hungarian currently plays for Lech Poznan and Przeglad Sportowy are suggesting Newcastle had scouts in Poland for Kadar’s last league match.

The 26 year old moved to Poland in 2015 after moving back to Hungary following an unsuccessful spell in Dutch football with Roda JC. He has spent the past 21 months with Lech Poznan after making his switch from Diosgyor in January 2015, and he is now not only attracting interest from the Magpies but also from Ajax and Spanish side Real Betis.

The Polish newspaper reports that scouts from all three clubs were present when Lech Poznan drew 1-1 with Wisla Krakow on Sunday. In the summer, a move to Lokomotiv Moscow broke down in the final stages with a bid of around €2.5million bu the article suggests that Kadar could be allowed to leave for much less, between €1m and €1.5million, in the January transfer window.
