West Ham United, Napoli and Watford are all in the running to sign Newcastle full back Daryl Janmaat, according to Goal.com Ireland. The Dutch international was not included in the starting eleven for the 1-0 victory over Bristol City at the weekend, leading to increased speculation over the 27 year old’s future.

Goal believe however that Magpies boss Rafa Benitez is an admirer of Janmaat and is under no pressure to sell the right back. Janmaat has four years left on his contract and doesn’t have a release clause to allow him to leave cheaply after being relegated from the Premier League.

Rumours around Janmaat have persisted not only because Vurnon Anita was chosen ahead of him at the weekend, but also because Jesus Gamez was signed from Atletico Madrid over the summer. The fact that Newcastle have been linked with Tottenham Hotspur full back Deandre Yedlin more recently has also led to question marks over his future on Tyneside. It is mooted that the Magpies would want at least £10million for the Dutchman who signed from Feyenoord for €6million two years ago.
