Manchester United’s imminent signing of Paul Pogba could trigger a transfer merry-go-round with other clubs, according to the Le10 Sport. Once the deal for the French star goes through, Juve may then move for his replacement, which is believed to be Paris Saint-Germain’s Blaise Matuidi. If that deal goes ahead, then PSG would move for Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
The 26 year old has been agitating for a move all summer and did another interview with the French publication So Foot at the weekend declaring that there were “four or five” clubs interested in signing him:
“There are four or five clubs interested, here. We will think about the best solution with my agent.”
So far no bids have been made for the French international and although he is nearing full fitness after returning later than the rest of the Newcastle squad for training due to his exploits for France at the European Championships, it will be interesting to see whether Rafa Benitez opts to play the midfielder despite his unpopularity among Newcastle fans.
