While the English media are confident that Real Madrid will make a bid for Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko soon, the Spanish media have been far less certain that the La Liga club are ready to make a move for the 26 year old.
One of Madrid’s most prominent newspapers AS gave an update this morning about Real Madrid’s latest transfer dealings. Although they say that Sissoko looks the most likely target as the Spanish side seek to strengthen their midfield, journalist David Sanchidrian believes the Champions League winners have also set their sights on Paris Saint-Germain’s Marco Veratti and Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic.
Matic is also believed to be interesting Juventus but it looks as though that neither Veratti nor the Chelsea midfielder are close to leaving their clubs currently making Sissoko an easier target. With sources close to Spanish club, you would believe that either AS or Marca would have stronger reports on an imminent bid for Sissoko but there have been no such links.
