Newcastle, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sunderland are all interested in signing striker Idrissa Sylla from Anderlecht, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The newspaper is reporting that the Magpies have made a number of enquiries about the 25 year old who has scored two goals in two games already in Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League this season.

Last campaign however the Guinea international scored just seven goals in 30 league matches, and it is believed that the striker is just one of a number of options as Rafa Benitez looks to sign a forward before transfer deadline day. The Magpies boss has instructed his scouts to find a player to strengthen his forward line which already boasts the likes of Dwight Gayle, Ayoze Perez and Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The Spaniard wants to seal three more signings before the end of the transfer window with left back Brendan Galloway expected to finalise his loan move from Everton next week, while a move for a winger is also said to be on the cards.
