Le 10 Sport has named the two clubs which it believes have made “concrete” proposals to Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko. Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool are both said to have made contact regarding the French international.

Dortmund have been on a bit of a spending spree this summer. After signing exciting young attacking midfielder Ousmane Dembele from Rennes at the start of the transfer window, they have subsequently secured multi million pound deals for Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze and Wolfsburg’s Andre Schurrle. Le 10 Sport believe that the German side have made their interest known for Sissoko over the past few weeks.

Liverpool’s formal interest is however believed to be much newer. They have sent a contract offer to Sissoko before submitting a formal offer to Newcastle, Le 1o Sport report. Rafa Benitez is said to be holding out for the €40million (£35m) asking price but the Magpies are prepared to received just €25million (£21m) up front with the rest of the fee made up of installments.
