Newcastle have not received any bids for either Moussa Sissoko or Georginio Wijnaldum, according to Sky Sports. The Magpies are believed to want £35million for Sissoko and £27million for Wijnaldum but no official approaches for the pair have been forthcoming.

Toon boss Rafa Benitez is believed to be keen on keeping the duo and has backing from owner Mike Ashley in his stance. Everton are said to be the main club looking at Wijnaldum, while a host of clubs including Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United and Juventus are said to be keeping a close eye on Sissoko.

The Magpies are not in a hurry to sell either Wijnaldum or Sissoko and will hold out for their asking price for both players if a club does indeed come in for them. For the time being though, it looks as if the pair will indeed be staying at St James Park.
