Newcastle United v Hull City - Premier LeagueWith Newcastle United Owner Mike Ashley strengthening his ties with Scottish club Glasgow Rangers, it looks as though a trio of Newcastle youngsters could be heading north of the border.

According to the Newcastle Chronicle Gael Bigirimana, Haris Vuckic and Kevin Mbabu could all be heading to Ibrox on loan today.

For one of who so much is expected, it just hasn’t quite happened for Haris Vuckic at Newcastle and you feel that the 22-year-old Slovenian’s long-term future lies away from St James’ Park.

Gael Bigirimana is something of a forgotten man in the north-east, as his debut Premier League goal against Wigan Athletic in 2012 seems like a life-time ago, but the next Cheik Tiote could yet still make an impact in the first team in the near future.

19-year-old Kevin Mbabu was signed over two years ago now and the Swiss defender hasn’t even so much as threatened senior playing time at Newcastle, with his future at the club is as clear as mud.
