harry redknapp newcastleThere was a time in 2008 when Newcastle were sounding out Harry Redknapp as their potential manager, but the wheeler-dealer decided to stay on the south coast and remain at Portsmouth.

As it turns out, more than six years later that decision may have cost Newcastle dear, with the Magpies stuck with Alan Pardew and languishing at the bottom of the table.

Redknapp on the other hand is now back in the Premier League with QPR, who are also set to struggle this season, but there’s no doubting the 67-year-old’s man management expertise.

The former Tottenham Hotspur boss has also become renowned for his ability to bring players in on the cheap, despite his protests previously, and this image has formed part of Coral’s new marketing campaign.
