It’s that time of the month (no not that one) when transfer rumours are rife, with the January transfer window set to slam shut in less than a week.
As expected, it’s been a quiet transfer window for Newcastle United to date, with just Jonas Gutierrez going on loan to fellow Premier League club Norwich City.
As for incomings, yet again Director of Football Joe Kinnear seems to be keeping a low profile and actually doing little in the way of work.
There’s been lots of talk of Yohan Cabaye moving on, either to Arsenal or PSG, but fingers crossed it looks like Newcastle’s best player will stay for another six months at least.
