James PerchOne of the Newcastle United stats that gets wheeled out each week this season is that only one of Newcastle’s Premier League goals hasn’t been scored by a Frenchman, as Loic Remy, Yoan Gouffran and Yohan Cabaye have all been amongst the goals.

That player is Paul Dummett, who netted against Liverpool in the 2-2 draw at St James’ Park, and while Dummett was born in the north-east, he has actually represented Wales at an international level. So who was the last ‘Englishman’ to score in the Premier League for Newcastle?
