If Ben Arfa scored a magnificent goal against Fulham without giving an all-round performance, then yesterday he put that right at Villa Park.
Against Aston Villa Ben Arfa was unplayable, running at Antonio Luna all day and giving the left back all sorts of problems.
Hatem got himself into the box to score Newcastle’s opener and then forced Brad Guzan to parry his shot from outside the area and allow Yoan Gouffran to score the winner.
Not only does Ben Arfa give great performances, but he gives great interviews too, and has gone a bit R Kelly ‘I believe I can fly’ here…

Ben Arfa is flying right now and the Newcastle fans are shouting ‘go, go, go’ because he terrorises defences and is exciting to watch.
