Newcastle United may not be able to compete at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with the players at their disposal, but one thing that the Magpies have that is second to none is their support.

The Toon Army are famous the world over for their passionate support that is on show at St James’ Park every other week. Virtually the whole city dons their black and white shirts to watch the Magpies play in front of the Gallowgate End.

It is this 12th man that helps to make St James’ Park a fortress, but that has been lacking a bit this season as Newcastle have lost at home to both Manchester United and West Ham in the Premier League.

However, would you say that St James’ Park is the most daunting Premier League ground to go to? Or would that accolade be held by Old Trafford maybe, or the Etihad Stadium?

FootballFanCast.com is running a number of polls to find out more about Premier League away days. Which are the most difficult? Which fans make the most noise? And which club has the best support.

I may be biased but I’d say that Newcastle’s support is right up there with the best in the league, and the Toon Army don’t half make a lot of noise and get behind their team on a match day.

So, show your support for Newcastle United and vote for St James’ Park as the nosiest and most daunting ground to visit in the Premier League, and for Newcastle United fans as being the best away support in the country.
