Hugo Viana’s time at Newcastle United was far from successful, but the Portuguese midfielder has equalled the feat of former Manchester United star David Beckham and scored from his own half!
29-year-old Hugo Viana currently finds himself playing football in his homeland for Braga, who he has been with since 2010.
Viana has played 27 times for his country and even went to Euro 2012 in the summer with Portugal, although the former Young Footballer of the Year didn’t feature.

I found this video earlier in the week, and although it is from way back in February of this year, I thought there would be many Newcastle fans like me who hadn’t come across it.
It is a goal from midfielder Hugo Viana, in added time, that gave Sporting Braga 1-0 victory over Portimonense and helped them qualify for the semi-finals of the League Cup.
