Yohan Cabaye free-kick v Man UnitedNewcastle United will look back on the 2011/12 Premier League season as a very successful one. The Magpies finished 5th in the Premiership table, qualified for the Europa League and brought a good feeling back to the north-east.

While Newcastle may not have been water tight at the back, conceding 51 goals over the course of the season, during the 38 Premier League games they managed to find the back of the net 56 times, with every goal being documented in a great video.

The majority of those 56 goals were shared between Newcastle’s Senegalese strike duo, with Demba Ba scoring 16 times and Papiss Demba Cisse helping himself to 13 Premier League goals in the second half of the season.

There were also useful contributions from French pair Hatem Ben Arfa and Yohan Cabaye, who netted five and four times respectively, while the often forgotten Leon Best also found the back of the net four times last season.

Let’s not forget the all-important own goals as well, with the two from Everton coming from Jonny Heitinga and Tony Hibbert, while Manchester United’s Phil Jones also registered on the score sheet for Newcastle.

However, of those 56 goals, the incredible thing is the high number of them that are absolute stunners, as this beautiful 13-minute long video depicts beautifully…

Looking back at those goals just shows how many good times us Newcastle fans got to enjoy last season and hopefully when a similar video of every Newcastle goal is produced at the end of next season it will be even longer!
