Eredivisie XI - Newcastle transfer targetsNewcastle United have become renowned for targeting players from France, having already added Romain Amalfitano to their squad this week, but if the Newcastle transfer rumours are to be believed then there could be a few footballers from the Dutch Eredivisie arriving on Tyneside this summer.

Newcastle United Chief Scout Graham Carr has been largely splitting his time between France and The Netherlands, with Newcastle Manager Alan Pardew joining Carr in Holland to run the rule over a few players that have been identified as having great potential.

The likes of Ajax, FC Twente and PSV all have stars that have been linked with a move to Newcastle, as the Magpies target players right across the pitch, particularly in defence where Pardew is looking to strengthen.

Newcastle currently have one Dutchman in their squad – goalkeeper Tim Krul who is heading to Euro 2012 with The Netherlands and when he returns to the north-east next season, he might just have a few more compatriots alongside him in the Newcastle starting eleven.

So, here is an Eredivisie XI of players currently playing in the Dutch first division who Newcastle United are rumoured to be taking an interest in.
